The UK might be in lockdown at this time but it’s still possible to walk Hadrian’s Wall. Here’s how

It is of course a virtual walk.
You pay for the challenge, and for every 20% you complete a tree gets planted. Tree planting is a good thing. There are also other rewards too. Such as a medal, and clothing.
Two well known UK LARPers found out about this and got in touch with us. They are Guy Quickenden and Adrian Davis. It’s their pictures you can see at the top of the post. Being the larpers they are it wasn’t enough to just do this. They’re completing the walk in full Celtic and Roman dress. I’d also like to point out that they are not the only larpers doing this. Its just that we have their details and pictures

Although Guy and Adrian are both doing this walk, and putting together this fab account of their antics they both live on other sides of the country. So this is in effect distance larping on a virtual backdrop. They might be apart but they’re sort of in the same event.
Its a great use of these virtual activity tools.

So I took a look at The Conqueror website. There are other challenges. Including the Giza Pyramids. Crying out for someone to do this in 1920’s and Mummy kit

Taking My Hat Off
I’ve got to take my hat off to Guy and Adrian on this. They’re doing something good and its an inspired idea. In this time of no larps we can subvert virtual tech into giving us a role-playing experience. Kudos!
