Earlier this month Vault 57 ran their latest Fallout based LARP and The Midnight Fleet ran Tortuga – a pirate LARP set on that notorious isle.

I was able to approach 2 of the players for their views on these games and here are the results – 2 short and beautiful points of view. Both of these have had the effect of making me want attend the next events run by Vault 57 and the Midnight Fleet

Truckstop – Vault 57

What’s to say – it was grubby, atmospheric, the organisers, refs, crew and players all put their heart and soul into it and it was a fantastic experience. The site was perfect for that ‘after the bombs have dropped’ feel and I’d certainly book on the next one without hesitation – you should definitely go if you enjoy Fallout 3

Tortuga – The Midnight Fleet

A very well thought out first event with a Pirates theme. Fun and very enjoyable to play. Fantastic use of pyros through-out. Decent catering from “The Giddy Kipper” team, crowned by a hog roast on the Saturday evening. Definitely looking forward to the next weekend event that they organise.
