When I discovered the Fayre Times Festival I immediately realised that this could be good venue for larpers – simply because it not only covers LARP – but also other topics that are traditionally of interest to LARP players, these include

    • Re-enactment
    • Live action role-play
    • Table top role-playing
    • War gaming
    • Cosplay
    • Modelling
    • Paint balling
    • Laser tag
    • Air soft
    • European martial arts

The aim of the festival is to establish an event where people can come and enjoy all the above and in doing so celebrate the history and pageantry of the UK. This is an ambitious aim. If its pulled off though this could be a fun an interesting place to go.

There is no track history to review – so all I can is wish the festival luck and give the details:

Date: 21st – 22nd September 2013

Location: The Barleylands Centre , Billericay, Essex

Cost: There’s a wide range of ticket prices but a single day looks to be £15 for an adult

Web Site: http://www.fayretimesfestival.co.uk/

My only concern at the moment is that the festival web site does not look that organised – but it only went live on February 1st.  Hopefully over the next few months it will fill out a bit and   give this new a high level of support.
